To my valued clients, 2010 was a great year for TEAROSE and dressing the ‘String Diva’s’ for the ‘Christmas Eve Carols by Candlelight’ concert in Melbourne was a lovely way to round off the year. You may have seen the three piece string band performing on television, I’ve also included some of the photo’s on the evening page of my website. 2011 commenced with an inspiring trip to St. Gallen, Switzerland, where I spent a week discovering a range of modern and exquisite fabrics from Jacob Schlaepfer, as well as working on some new designs for my exclusive TEAROSE collection. Martin Leuthold, head of the creative team at Jacob Schlaepfer and such a talented fabric designer, has been instrumental in organizing an exhibition in St. Gallen on the history of lace since the 18th century. The exhibition showcases lace from around the world. I’ve been buying lace from Jacob Schlaepfer for over 15 years, so it was quite a treat to be able to have a preview of the layout of the exhibition, which will run until December this year. TEAROSE was invited to take part in the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion week anniversary celebrations this year, in the opening parade ‘Fashion Full Stop – decades of fashion’. It was a nice opportunity to showcase some of my special pieces. You can view one of my designs on the press page of my website. I’ve returned from Switzerland full of inspiration and have commenced designing some special pieces for this year. TEAROSE continues to specialize in designs for special occasions, personalized styling, made to measure bridal and mother of the bride and groom. I hope you all are having a wonderful year so far.
